Republic of Texas Equine Medical Center specializes in Equine Sports Medicine with advanced therapies for equine sports injuries in every discipline. ROTEQ guarantees a complete lameness evaluation which includes diagnosis of injuries; pain management and follow up progress for rehabilitation from injury.

Republic of Texas Equine also provides services for every aspect of equine healthcare including vaccinations, health papers and Coggins (EIA) testing.

Cody C. Johnson, DVM

Dr. Johnson is passionate about performance horse medicine and surgery. He enjoys the challenge of diagnosing and treating lameness in equine athletes. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine . Prior to opening Republic of Texas Equine, Dr. Johnson served as a veterinarian and partner for Elgin Veterinary Hospital for 11 years.

He is a member of the Texas Medical Veterinary Association, the Texas Equine Veterinary Association, and the American Association of Equine Practitioners.
